I have to say, though, that I knew Palmer was gonna die but I didn't know when or how (I accidently found out the other day) but as soon as he stood in front of that window I was like "He's gonna get shot in minute!" and then he did. Plus, hutchiebear told me that two people were gonna die at the beginning of this season (don't you hate it when people say they're not gonna spoil you but then go ahead and do it anyway?) and because of that information I guessed about Michelle just before it happened too. It seemed obvious to me but if I hadn't known some people were gonna die I would probably have been surprised. Both of those scenes were done really well though. I especially liked the scene of Jack watching the news on the TV - that was so sad
What I liked best about these episodes though were Jack and Chloe - it was so cool having them out in the field together. They work brilliantly together and it should definitely happen again. The bit when she got arrested was pretty cool too - I loved her sarcastically chipper "Hi!" when Buchanan was on the phone. Lol! There's no way she's gonna tell them where Jack's gone - well, I don't think she will anyway. I loved the Jack/Chloe hug too - if these episodes are anything to go by Jack/Chloe and maybe Chloe in general might get some more screentime this season. Although, I bet there's gonne be some more Jack/Audrey stuff (boring!).
I loved the way Jack like dropped everything to go and get her after she phoned - I know he'd probably do that for anyone from CTU but I'd like to think he did it just 'cause it was Chloe.
I also loved Chloe's "Relax, he's really good at this" to Derek when Jack went to get the agents jacket and stuff.
I love those two together - sometimes I still think I'm the only one who likes them hutchiebear still doesn't see it.
I swear CTU can be so stupid sometimes! I can't believe they were actually believing that Jack killed Palmer! Come on! This is Jack we're talking about! If Tony was there there's no way he'd be believing that. I can't stand Audrey but she was the only one thinking about it logically. I now the evidence they've got points to Jack but that tape could so easily be faked and obviously has! If Chloe was on the computers she'd figure it out. Hopefully Edgar will get his arse in gear and figure that out. Surely it's CTUs job too examine all possiblities - not just look at one weak piece of evidence and believe someone who they know wouldn't do something has actually done it.
So far I like Derek (or "Brady!" as I shouted when I saw his name on the credits. Lol!). He seems a lot like Jack to me - especially that bit at the end when he saw that van and just knew something was up. He's thinking like Jack already! First of all I thought him going into the airport to find Jack was a really good idea but not I'm not so sure. I have a really bad feeling that he's gonna end up dead soon but I hope he doesn't 'cause then Jack's gonna have guilt.
I know it's only early days but so far I don't trust that new dude at CTU - Spencer, is it? There's just something off about him but then I thought that about Tony in season one (and for a bit last season) and Chloe in season three. With shows like "24" I always believe it's trust no-one. I still don't like Pres Logan, I think he's an idiot and he really should have believed his wife (but then if she has a history of making stuff up then maybe he wouldn't) and I guessed that the tape had been altered to make her seem crazy. I'm interested about Palmer's memoirs and what he was gonna tell the First Lady - whatever it was was it worth killing him for? Although, with this show what happens in the first few episodes is sometimes forgotten about by the end.</p>
Jack is clearly the coolest man alive! Or the coolest dead man alive! Lol! he had some cracking lines last night and I'm sure I've said this before but it's so good that he's a good guy, if he was a bad guy America would be in so much trouble.
I loved this line from Spencer about Chloe:
Edgar: She sounded strange when I talked to her.
Spencer: She always sounds strange.
Lol! It made me laugh 'cause at the same time he said it I said "Chloe always sounds strange". Lol!
Anyway, I know this sounds sorta mean but I'm almost glad that Michelle's gone - nothing against her character or the actress but I'm just pretty bored with the whole Tony/Michelle thing. What makes it worse is that practically every "24" fan loves them so I hope I haven't upset anyone with this comment.
I'll end on a completely shallow note and say that I really like what Chloe was wearing and Jack looked very good in those tight jeans! I'm sure Kiefer's lost weight.
In other news: I taped "The OC" yesterday but didn't have time to watch it last night - actually, I did have time but I couldn't be arsed but I will watch it soon. I don't have my first aid course tonight 'cause it's half term (which also means no work!) so I can watch "Life on Mars" tonight. I'm looking forward to it - it sounds like a good episode. It's also "ER" tonight. There's just so much TV on for me to watch right now - almost too much in fact. So many shows so little time! I have like at least one show a night now and bet there'll be a time later in the year when there's nothing on!
Oh, also, that James Blunt at the BBC concert from a few months back is being shown again tonight on BBC1 (at about 11-ish? If you're interested you might wanna check the listings). Speaking of The Blunt - his new live CD/DVD is out today so I think I'm gonna head out sometime today and get that.
